Lee County Road Manager
The Lee County Board of Supervisors shall accept applications for the position of Road Manager until Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Applications shall be completed in-person, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Board of Supervisors Office located at 300 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804.
- The Road Manager shall serve at the “will and pleasure” of the Board of Supervisors and shall perform on a daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual basis all duties assigned by the Board to him/her as needed and if necessary, on a 24/7/365 basis.
- The Road Manager shall be educated or experienced in the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges, preparation of budgets, and be familiar with county government laws and purchase regulations established by the State of Mississippi.
- The Road Manager shall administer Road Department policies approved by the Board of Supervisors and shall superintend work related to the construction and repair of roads and bridges in the County or in Lee County municipalities where applicable.
- The Road Manager shall carry out the Road Department policies in conformity with the annual Road Department budget adopted by the Board of Supervisors.
- The Road Manager shall requisition the purchase, lease, or rental of equipment required for use by the Road Department.
- The Road Manager shall prepare or assist the County Administrator in the preparation of the budgets for the Road Department, said budgets shall include but not be limited to personnel and contractual services, consumable supplies & material, debt service and capital outlay which shall also include equipment purchases.
Benefits package shall include salary, medical, life, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, medical and holiday leave, and retirement through the Mississippi Public Employee Retirement System.
